Soccer is such a compelling sport. It builds teamwork while engaging the entire body especially the core and deep muscles of the lower limbs making it one of the most comprehensive full-body workouts.

But that high demand naturally comes with a higher risk of injury.

The idea for this workshop actually started from a very personal experience.

My husband has played soccer almost daily since his teens. Over the years,

he repeatedly pushed through minor and major injuries without proper treatment,

eventually leading to surgery for internal ankle joint damage. Watching him go through a lengthy recovery period away from the game he loved made me realize just how critical prevention is when it comes to sports injuries.

Later, as both of us entered the healthcare field and began applying a preventive approach to musculoskeletal care, his athletic performance actually improved, and his injuries dropped significantly. In my clinical practice, I’ve often seen recreational soccer players suffer from recurring pain caused by weakened or overused muscle groups most of which could have been prevented with proper conditioning.

Based on these personal and clinical insights, this workshop will cover the top three common soccer injuries (hamstrings, ankles, and the Achilles tendon), along with practical prevention strategies and key strength-training tips to boost your performance on the field.

Treating an injury after it happens is important, but preventing it in the first place offers far greater value in the long run. I truly hope this workshop helps everyone who loves soccer stay injury free and keep playing the game for years to come!
